Small arch for a 2-track masonry bridge - H0 scale

€37,00
SKU: 1008.ARP.H130
Select Height of road surface

H0 scale (1:87) reproduction of a module with small arches for a double-track masonry bridge (series starting code 1008). Combine it with other bridge elements to extend and customize it as desired. Designed for railway lines but also suitable as a road bridge.

The product comes in an easy-to-assemble kit, including the deck, pylon, arches, and parapet. It comes in realistic base colors (terracotta and concrete-like) so it can be used raw or to facilitate subsequent coloring or even just simple highlighting. It is perfectly reproduced and dimensionally accurate thanks to FDM 3D printing technology with bioPLA material.

The height of the bridge above the road surface is 130 mm as standard, but it is possible to customize the height from a minimum of 110 mm to a maximum of 150 mm.

Products to complete the bridge:

  • Bridge shoulder (code: 1008.SPL.H130)
  • Small-Large Connecting Arch (code: 1008.ARC.H130)
  • Large Arch (code: 1008.ARG.H130)
  • Optional alternative railing (code: 1007.RNG.SPL)

Please check the height of the road surface as per the dimensioned drawing.

Finish of the bioPLA material

Assembly
Where assembly between pieces is required, we recommend using cyanoacrylate glue for a quick and strong bond (Glue 21, available in the Accessories category, is perfect). We recommend lightly sanding the parts to be glued.

Sanding
Normally not necessary, but if you want to reduce the streaking effect, you can roughen with 240/320 grit sandpaper and then work your way up to finer grits, up to 1000 for the final sanding. We recommend wetting the sandpaper or wetting the piece with cold water to avoid overheating the surface, as the PLA material could become brittle at high temperatures.
The use of power tools for sanding is not recommended.

Painting
Use acrylic paints in the desired color with a matte finish (for concrete, RAL 7035 gray). For a more uniform surface, we recommend using an airbrush or spray can. You can apply multiple coats until you're satisfied, letting them dry between coats.
